Action – Step 5 in Our Planning Process

  • Post category:Trust

Before we begin do you have a financial advisor?

If you have an advisor are they engaging with you and helping you reach your goals?

If not, consider getting a financial planner who acts as your coach, has integrity and is passionate about seeing you grow.

Our Planning Process

Step 5: Action

Action can be defined as the process of doing something in order to achieve an aim or goal.

The central part of planning process is taking action and implementing the changes we have discussed. There is a distinct difference between speaking about a goal or plan and actually doing it. Many people know that they should do something but when it comes to implementing it, we often lack the follow through.

This can be because we are acting alone, isolated from accountability and without an objective driving force. Having someone in your corner helps keep you on track. We encourage action, even taking a few small steps can help us realise we can achieve our goals. This perspective gives us direction and the discipline to stay the course.

If you have been guided correctly you will have an understanding of the path that lies ahead. We find this understanding of your plan and the steps required gives you more purpose and motivation. When you know where you are going you are more likely to make the correct decisions that help you get there. The important thing to be mindful of is that behavioural changes take time,  be patient with yourself.

Be Ready for a Challenge

We are confident that each step you take with us will move you closer to your goal. With that in mind though, you need to be ready for the challenge of the first few steps. When embarking on any sort of journey the first couple steps can be the greatest challenge.

At first the idea of a journey or adventure is exciting but when the takkie hits the tar the gees wears off quickly and our mind starts to challenge our reasoning for doing this. We need to be ready for this resistance and overcome this with action. We must trust our plan, trust our decisions and stay the course. After a few good steps our minds and bodies seem to accept that we are doing this and the process eases up.

During the entire process we work together, you are not alone. We are always here to answer questions and explain things you are unsure about.

Without action you will not reach your financial goal. Your financial understanding and growth is important to us and together we will take the steps to achieve your goals.

Next up we move onto our final phase in our process – Monitor. With your financial plan implemented, we need to regularly review and keep you on track. Monitoring growth, assessing any life changes and making the necessary changes to keep you moving towards your goals. Should there be significant changes to your goals or needs at any point then we will revisit several steps in our process to refine your plan.
